The Martin Department maintains Reserve Firefighters to supplament the department's paid staff, assist with special events, and help with public education.  Reserve recruits are required to have Basic and Live Firefighting Certificate (86 hours of instruction) that can be obtained thru the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy or thru local hosted training. Reserve Firefighters have training drills on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm, unless rescheduled by the Training Officer.  Other training will be available in addition to the required training drills.  Reserve Firefighters are compensated on a per event basis.  For more information or interest, contact Chief Russell Schwahn at (731) 587-4919.
