Mission Statement

The mission of the Martin Police Department is to provide protection and service to the City of Martin that will suppress criminal activity, provide a climate of safety and security to its citizens, and strive to communicate with the community in order to inform and be informed in the most effective manner possible.

2009 West Tennessee Police Chief of the Year

Martin Police Chief David Moore was named as 2009 West Tennessee Police Chief of the Year by the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police.

Larry Baker promoted to Sergeant

Larry Baker, Senior Patrol Officer with the Martin Police Department was promoted to the Rank of Sergeant. Baker is a 26 year veteran of the Martin Police Department. Sgt. Bakers duties include supervision of shifts with the Patrol Division of the Police Department.
