Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of the Martin Police Department primary objective is to deter criminal activity through directed patrol and to respond to calls for service. Patrol officers respond to fire and medical emergencies and assist with police and non-police related problems. The Patrol Division investigates traffic accidents, conducts initial criminal investigations, monitors/suppresses gang related activities, works traffic assignments, performs property checks and special patrols. There are 20 uniformed officers assigned to the Patrol Division. Their duties include responding to citizen calls for police service, crime prevention, and reduction through zone patrol, and general law enforcement services. 20 officers are assigned to 4 patrol squads, who work a 12 hour shift.
